About Malaysian Secondary School Uniform

Also known as: 马来西亚校服

School Uniforms worn in secondary schools in Malaysia (equivalent to high schools, as Malaysia's education system is inherited as a legacy of the former British colonial rule)

Female students have the choice of either two uniforms:

Pinafore - a turquoise pinafore Skirt worn over a white Blouse, paired with either white/Black Socks in white/black shoes.

Baju Kurung - based on the traditional Malay outfit for women. Consists of the long-sleeved shirt called the "baju", followed by a turquoise Long Skirt. Paired with either white/black socks in white/black shoes. Also paired with a Hijab, which is commonly worn by the Muslim students. Non-Muslims can also sometimes wear this type of uniform. Color of the "baju" depends on the student's role - most are white, some are blue to indicate prefects (as it is standard for prefects to wear blue), and some are other colors, such as green or yellow, which the student wears if they are involved in co-curricular activities.
