The M50 Reising is an American .45 ACP Submachine Gun that was developed in 1940. During World War II, it was adopted into service with the US Navy and Marine Corps at the end of 1941. The Reising soon proved itself to be a difficult to use Weapon due to its complicated closed-bolt design that jammed frequently in combat conditions if not cleaned frequently. It was withdrawn from service by 1943.
As a variant, the M55 Reising has a folding wire stock and a pistol grip instead of conventional one-piece wooden Rifle stock.
