Also known as: カツ(揚げ物), 炸猪排
A breaded, deep-fried Meat cutlet. This is usually a pork cutlet (豚カツ, tonkatsu), but there are other versions including chicken and beef.
Commonly served with shredded Cabbage and a thick brown Sauce, or on a Rice Bowl as Katsudon (Food), or with Curry as Katsu Curry, or as a Katsu Sandwich.
Not to be confused with tonkotsu ramen, which is Ramen topped with Char Siu (sliced pork belly).
