Judith Slaying Holofernes is a painting by the Italian artist Artemisia Gentileschi, created around 1612–1613.
It depicts the biblical heroine Judith and her maidservant as they behead the Assyrian general Holofernes. Judith is shown holding a sword above Holofernes while he lies on his back. Her maidservant helps restrain him as he attempts to resist. The painting captures the violent and gruesome moment of the struggle between the three.
