Also known as: かが, かが(護衛艦)
The second ship of the Izumo-class "helicopter carrier destroyers" (DDH-184) that was launched on 27 August 2015 and later "converted" into an Aircraft Carrier. Also the first ship to bear the Kaga name since the Tosa-class battleship turned aircraft carrier from World War II.
Consequently, she has appeared in art featuring her Kantai Collection version, including in official art shown on an on-deck poster.
