  • Ajirogasa: Very similar Japanese hat. Typically bamboo or wicker, with little to no decor.
  • Ichimegasa: Another very similar Japanese hat, including presence of a veil. Distinguished by a protrusion at its top.
  • Weimao: Very similar hat from China, also has a veil. Can usually be distinguished by a protrusion at its top.
  • Jingasa: Conical Japanese hat. Pointed top is typical. Can be made of wood, leather, or metal, which the jeonmo usually isn't.
  • Sandogasa: Wide-brimmed Japanese hat often with flat top. Usually made of simple wicker or straw, generally would not be very decorated.
