An extension of the iDOLM@STER franchise designed for mobile devices. The original used the GREE social gaming platform, in which players would raise and battle their idols against other players.
In addition to the original iDOLM@STER girls, the game adds many more new characters, all designed by A-1 Pictures, which produced the iDOLM@STER anime. These characters are then divided into three categories, Dance, Visual, and Vocal.
In Million Live!, these idols are collectively known as the 765 Million Stars, and are presented as effectively being part of 765 Production. Additionally, unlike iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, all starting Million Live! idols already have seiyuu and a CD.
It received a communication and rhythm game based spinoff, Idolmaster Million Live! Theater Days, that also introduced two more idols and an assistant.
Bandai Namco Entertainment announced, beginning in December 2017, the original game would be systematically shut down, and service ended March 19 the next year.
Theater Days continues to receive updates and support as the main game.
