Ancient Greek heavy infantry. They fought in Phalanx formation with a Dory (Spear) (Spear) and an Aspis (Shield), with a Xiphos (Sword) (Sword) as a sidearm. Their armor could be a Linothorax, a Cuirass, or Nude, depending on period, individual wealth, and artistic depiction.
Not to be confused with the Phalanx (Sekaiju) from Sekaiju No Meikyuu 3, which is known as the Hoplite in English (Etrian Odyssey).
