Widely remembered for being the target of the first ever nuclear weapon attack in August 6, 1945. The B-29 Superfortress Bomber Enola Gay dropped the atomic bomb "Little Boy (Bomb)", a nearly 1 short ton (9,700 pounds) Uranium device with a blast yield of 15 kilotons, in the early morning of that day.
