First game of the Touhou series, released for NEC PC-9801 on November 1996. Part of the Touhou PC-98 era of games.
Someone has wrecked the Hakurei Shrine, an important gateway between Gensokyo, Jigoku (World of Hell) and Makai (World of Demons). Its Miko, Hakurei Reimu (PC-98), chooses between entering Makai and Jigoku to find out who destroyed her shrine, leading her either to an angel of death or a jealous spirit.
