About Henry Rifle

The progenitor of the more famous Winchester rifles, the Henry Repeating Rifle can be readily identified from them visually by the lack of a side-mounted loading gate, lack of a wooden forward stock, and yellow-colored bronze/brass alloy receiver. Though the Henry was used in some numbers during the American Civil War and the Boshin War, the weapon would make its deepest mark in the American west, where it played a crucial role in the Battle of Little Bighorn.
