Hanamaru

Also known as: 花丸マーク, 花丸, 花まる, はなまる

"Flower circle", a symbol used to mark the papers of students who have done particularly good work. The Japanese equivalent of a gold star. May appear as a stamp (💮) or a hand-drawn spiral surrounded by petals.
