Gymnastiorka (гимнастёрка) is a Military Uniform hip-length Tunic, Smock, or jacket originated in the Russian Empire. The design is a long-sleeved, loose-fitting pullover tunic with a standing collar, featuring a few buttons on the upper chest, and may have pockets or not.
Its usage remained in the Soviet Union after the 1917 revolution, as well as by the military forces of some Soviet-aligned states.
