A series of action games following Kratos (God Of War), a Spartan warrior who becomes the God of War and comes into conflict with various mythological pantheons.
The first three games in the series are based on Greek Mythology, and see Kratos follow a path of vengeance against the Olympian gods - especially his father Zeus (God Of War).
The later games are based on Norse Mythology, and follow Kratos' journey in the Norse realm as he continues raising his young son Atreus (God Of War) in the wake of his wife Faye (God Of War)'s death.
