A Real Life Japanese Samurai, entrepreneur, Teacher, and political theorist (1835-1901). He appeared on the 10000 Yen Note from 1984 to 2024 when he was replaced by Shibusawa Eiichi.
Known as the founder of Keio University and co-founder of the Institute of Medical Science (with Kitasato Shibasaburou).
