An American conservative News channel owned by media mogul Rupert Murdoch. The channel retains high viewership and popularity within Rural, more conservative-leaning parts of the United States. Critics point to uncritical bias towards favored conservative politicians, promotion of Xenophobia and Transphobia, and sensationalist inflammatory reporting designed to stoke anger and Racism. The network and several of its on-air personalities have been successfully sued for spreading lies as well as creating a hostile sexist workplace.
The channel was heavily criticized during and after the 2020 US Elections for repeatedly claiming the election was rigged and Donald Trump was still the US President rather than the actual winner, Joe Biden, despite evidence and testimony by all politicians and election officials that there was no election rigging. On January 6 2021, an angry crowd of Trump supporters who believed such falsehoods attacked the United States Capitol but failed to takeover the US Capitol building.
