A small cylindrical Explosive firework used to create noise. It comes in both single packs and in strings. A very common and popular tradition to celebrate the Chinese New Year, often alongside Fireworks. This practice is said to originate from the legend of Nian (Mythology), a beast who harasses villages during New Year that is scared of loud noises. It's also used as decorations, in forms of strings hanging on the walls.
