One of four main protagonists of Fire Emblem: Fortune'S Weave, alongside Cai (Fire Emblem), Leda (Fire Emblem), and Theodora (Fire Emblem).
Sailing across the sea from the continent of Fodlan, Dietrich enters the Heroic Games in search of worthy opponents, ever equipped with his signature sword, the Answerer (Weapon). He is accompanied by Fabio (Fire Emblem), although the two did not previously know each other, and by Esmeralda (Fire Emblem), a girl he rescued from being sacrificed by a cult.
He is frequently compared to Alucard (Castlevania) from Castlevania (Series) due to bearing a strong resemblance to him.
