A method of Cooking where food is submerged in hot Cooking Oil. Traditionally done using a pan full of oil over heat, though today dedicated standalone devices called a Deep Fryer are most commonly used commercially.
Due to the combination of large quantities of hot oil and open flame, deep frying can be fairly hazardous either through the oil causing scalding or causing hard to control fires.
