A recurring character in the Ryuu Ga Gotoku (Series) series.
Date is a police detective who had a falling out with his family thanks to the events that involved Kiryu Kazuma prior to Ryuu Ga Gotoku 1 and seeks to find the truth behind them. He helps Kiryuu throughout the game and soon becomes one of his closest allies in the series.
