Cupid is the Roman god of erotic love and beauty. He is armed with a bow and Arrow (Projectile)s (often depicted as Heart Arrows), and may be trying to instigate some chemistry between two people. In modern culture a cupid is depicted as a winged infant.
This is not to be confused with a Cherub, a winged infant that is typically unarmed.
