Also known as: 茶筅髷
Historical Japanese hairstyle; a type of Topknot, tied traditionally with Motoyui.
Its name derives from the fact it looks like a tea-whisk (<i>Chasen</i>), combined with the word for hairstyle (<i>mage</i>).
It was popular among young men during the end of Muromachi period, and fell out of fashion during the early Edo period.
