The Captain is the bodyguard of The Major and member of the Millennium Organization. A former member of the Waffen-SS, the Captain is a natural werewolf, with the ability to transform between his human and werewolf forms at will.
Fans commonly refer to him as Hans Gunsche, the name of a character from the one-shot manga Desert Guardian who most likely served as the basis for the Captain. However, this is not an official name used in any media.
