A vast array of traditional Japanese hairstyles (Nihongami) worn by unmarried women; all of which share the trait of vertically-tied Bow-Shaped Hair fastened against the scalp.
Sometimes tied with a Motoyui (a ribbon similar to a hair tube).
A notable feature of this style was the use of red cloth to tie the hair.
