Biting Coin

Biting a Coin or holding one between the teeth or lips. Often, but not always, as a way to test the coin's authenticity, as softer metals like lead would leave a mark, while gold would not. This practice is largely a myth popularized by films and literature however, rather than a reliable method of detecting counterfeits.
