About Berthier Rifle

Also known as: ベルティエ小銃, Berthier-Gewehr

The Berthier Rifles and carbines were a family of Bolt Action small arms that came in some variants, used in the French Army, and French Colonial Forces, from the 1890s to the beginning of World War II (1940). It was designed by André Berthier to partially supplant the Lebel Model 1886.

Somehow similar to the Mosin-Nagant, the Berthier rifle features a straight grip stock, two handguard bands, and a 3 or 5-round magazine. Some models accept Chauchat magazines.
