A Bomber used by the United States Air Force, originally designed as a supersonic bomber to serve as the successor to the B-58 and replacement for the B-52 Stratofortress. That version was cancelled with the Carter administration. Uncancelled by the Reagan administration, it became a subsonic bomber supplementing the B-52. Notable for its swing wing and limited stealth features.
