The Astrogator Round Vernian, also known as ARV, is the Earthians' expedient name for the Mecha that the Kuktonians used in Ginga Hyouryuu Vifam. The Round Vernian is a type of Earthian's mecha in the show.
They were extraterrestrials living in the Ypserlon solar system, and their three habitable planets, including their home planet Kukuto, were polluted by a nuclear war. For over 1000 years, they lived in space colonies built in the asteroid area. Earthians from Earth, 43 light-years away, did not consider them the natives of the solar system, but called them Astrogators.
The Kuktonians' official name for the ARVs was never revealed, but in the story, they called this type of weapon, mobile weapons (機動兵器), or mobile mecha (機動メカ).
