Xena: Warrior Princess is an American fantasy television series filmed in New Zealand, which aired in first-run syndication from September 4, 1995, to June 18, 2001.
A spin-off of the TV show Hercules the Legendary Journey, the series follows Xena, a former warlord who decides to redeem herself after encountering Hercules by using her skills as a warrior to help the weak and fight evil. Joining her in her journey is Gabrielle (Xena: Warrior Princess) the bard, as they journey throughout Greece and other parts of the world including Europe, India, China and Japan.
