The resident tall girl of the series, Akebono's most salient trait is her comparatively massive height of 180 cm (5' 11''), exaggerated even further by the game portraying her signature skill as her becoming a Donut-giving Giantess and shaking the ground when she leaps for joy in her victory animation. As such, she is often paired with (and friends with) some of the smallest characters for the Height Difference, such as Nishino Flower (Umamusume) and her roommate Biko Pegasus (Umamusume).
Akebono is also known for being an exceptional chef who adores both cooking for and feeding her friends, with both her parents being described as world-class culinarians. Her favourite food is chankonabe ('sumo stew'), owing to her real-life namesake, yokozuna Akebono Tarou.
