A flying Wyvern from the Monster Hunter (Series) series, first introduced in Monster Hunter 3.
The Ice Fanged Wyvern, Barioth, is a large white quadrupedal dragon that exhibits feline characteristics. It's very well adapted to the freezing environment of the tundra, where it preys on the Popo (Monster Hunter) that live there. Featured prominently are Barioth's two large amber tusks, and its well developed forearms, adorned with large claws that help it move quickly across the ice. It is also capable of firing ice chunks at its foes that can cause severe cold.
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd introduced brown subspecies known as Sand Barioth, better adapted to life in the desert. Later, in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne's post-launch update, the base species gained older, more powerful variant called Frostfang Barioth.
Its armor set is very popular amongst fans, being one of the most prominent after the Kirin (Armor) set.
