Many characters were cut from the roster in Shin Sangoku Musou 5, including Zhurong and Meng Huo (Shin Sangoku Musou). Meng Huo returned in Shin Sangoku Musou 5 Empires while Zhurong returned in Shin Sangoku Musou 6.
