An extremely destructive, optional boss in Minecraft, encountered only if the player deliberately summons it by putting four Soul Sand blocks in T-shaped formation and three Wither Skulls on top. It resembles a giant, levitating dark grey skeleton with three heads and no limbs.
The Wither drops only a Nether Star upon death, for crafting a Beacon (Minecraft).
