Also known as: 爪先立ち, つま先立ち, 踮脚尖
Maintaining one's balance on the ends of one's Toes. Usually done Standing but can be done in other positions as well.
Contrast with Heel Up.
When doing it with pointe shoes, the technique is call En Pointe.
Also, when this is done during Walking it is known as a forefoot strike, where the forefoot lands on the ground first, as opposed to the common heel strike.
