A sport utility vehicle (SUV) is a Car classification that has off-road features, such as four-wheel drive and higher ground clearance. SUVs are generally built on light truck chassis and have bulkier dimensions compared to regular cars.
As consumer tastes have evolved to prefer SUVs to standard cars, less rugged takes on the platform have emerged, including SUV-like vehicles based on car chassis, known as CUVs or "Crossovers." For Danbooru purposes, these types of vehicles are included under this tag.
