Shinkon Gattai Godannar (a.k.a. Marriage of God and Soul: Godannar) is a 2003 Humongous Mecha anime series. It ran for 2 seasons each consisting of 13 episodes for a total of 26 episodes.
Opening in the distant future of 2042, the series centers on humanity's war against the Mimetic Beasts (a.k.a Gitaiju - 擬態獣), an alien race of giant mindless monsters. Japan's Ace Pilot from Dannar Base, Goh Saruwatari, and his partner/lover, Mira Ackerman, seemingly end the war against the Beasts when they destroy their Hive Queen, but Mira dies in the process. During said battle, Goh saves a young girl, Anna Aoi, the daughter of his superior at Dannar Base, Dr. Aoi. Sometime after the battle, the two eventually fall in love and get engaged.
Five years later, on the day of their wedding, the Mimetic Beasts return. Anna joins the fight against them, piloting the Neo Okusaer, the partner unit to Goh's Dannar mech. Despite Goh's protests, she continues to pilot the robot.
Besides Anna and Go, the show also features several other couples and relationships, serving as an examination of the sanctity marriage and partnership under extreme pressure.
The series is known for its copious amounts of fanservice. With nearly every female character bearing a large pair of Bouncing Breasts with frequent ecchi scenes in every episode.
