A fanart trend following Kemono Friends V Project's Island Fox (Kemono Friends). She was announced to be holding an in-person meet and greet in the form of a talking robot at the final day of the Kemono Friends Shop 2022 pop-up store.
The announcement spurred a influx of Mechanization fanart, and parodies of Mecha properties with Island Fox.
