A black dragon that Golbez summons during a story-important battle in Final Fantasy IV, where Rydia (Ff4) returns to the party as an adult and summons the Mist Dragon to blow the Shadow Dragon away.
The Shadow Dragon appears with Golbez in Dissidia Final Fantasy and Dissidia Final Fantasy NT with several variations.
- The dragon in the default costume in DFF and the "Obsidian Scales" in DFFNT is black with purple highlights and resembles the artwork post #9915729.
- Golbez's first alt in DFF has gold highlights.
- Golbez's "Man in Black" alt in DFF has the dragon appear on him like tattoos
- "Eventide Scales" (default look) in DFFNT resembles the original sprite with a more muted purple.
- "Snowfall Scales" in DFFNT is white and likely based on White Dragon from FFIV.
- "Gilded Scales" in DFFNT is green and likely based on Green Dragon from FFIV.
