Comedic depictions of Kemono Friends' Plains Zebra as a giant slug, or of a creature independent from Plains Zebra. The Savanna Striped Giant Slug is a simple-shaped, white slug-like blob with black zebra stripes, its size most typically varying from palm-sized to Friend-sized to horse-sized.
The gag stems from Plains Zebra's cameo in the original anime run, wherein she is seen only from behind, at a distance, and as obscured by tall grass, leaving only her very long, striped hair and ears visible; the resulting silhouette resembles a white, stripey slug-like blob, resulting in fan art of the apparent slug creature and nicknames such as Plains Zebra-striped giant slug being given to Plains Zebra. It can be seen as a background element in various Kemono Friends fan art works, often hiding in tall grass as per its origins.
