Ryoumen Sukuna is a strange figure or demon said to have appeared in Hida during the reign of Emperor Nintoku. While the Nihon Shoki describes him as a vicious bandit who was defeated by Takefurikuma-No-Mikoto, there are also legends in Gifu Prefecture that say he slew a poisonous Dragon and was a powerful clan leader who founded a temple.
