The main character of Mardock Scramble, she is a 15-year-old girl with Black Hair and blue to grey-ish blue eyes. The manga depiction has her with long Hime Cut hair, while the movie depiction has her with short hair.
Due to an injury she received, she is physically mute and communicates through electronic devices, such as by synthesizing her voice through a speaker or generating text on a screen.
The name Balot is derived from the word Balut.
