Strips of cloth on a shirt's or jacket's shoulders, without any Fringe Trim like Epaulettes, or rank/other insignia like military Shoulder Boards. Usually only attached to clothing at the ends. Originally served to hold Harness/Backpack straps in place. Can also be called shoulder tabs or shoulder straps (not to be confused with a Shoulder Strap as tagged on Danbooru, which hangs over or encircles the shoulder).
If in a Military or Police context, then it may be Shoulder Boards instead.
