"Perú es clave" (Peru is key) is catchphrase popularized in Spanish-speaking communities, and originated from YouTube video thumbnail displaying Argentine president Javier Milei next to the phrase. A similar image is sometimes paired with this meme, in which Milei first appears next to the phrase "Perú es una mierda" (Peru is shit) and then changes to "Perú es clave."
