Orpheus is a character in Identity V with three identities: the non-playable character "The Detective" and his younger selves - the playable Survivor "The Novelist" and Hunter "Nightmare (Identity V)" (who isn’t included in this tag).
As "The Detective", Orpheus is the starting character of the Identity V story introduced in the Tutorial. He was a famous crime novelist, but lost his memory 10 years ago after a fire and became an unsuccessful private detective who then came to the mysterious Oletus Manor on the heels of a missing child case. The story is revealed through Orpheus' ability to deduce the personality and experiences of the characters through their diaries.
Detective Orpheus is a middle-aged man with short Brown Hair that is combed back and Brown Eyes. He wears a white Collared Shirt, Green Vest, Red Necktie, brown Trench Coat, Black Pants and black Shoes.
"The Novelist" is Orpheus before he lost his memory - a renowned novelist whose past is a mystery to all, even to himself. His main ability is to swap the control of characters with either his teammates or the Hunter for a set period of time.
Novelist Orpheus’ physical appearance is similar to Detective Orpheus, except much younger and with Button Eyes as he is a Survivor. His default outfit includes a white Collared Shirt, Green Ascot, Grey Vest, White Coat, White Pants, black Dress Shoes, and a Monocle. He usually holds a Book and a Nib Pen (Object).
