Running since 2004, it leverages the organization's media monitoring and analysis resources to provide translated clips from over 100 channels across the Arab and Muslim world.
On the Internet specifically, MEMRI TV is widely associated with clips and screenshots of reactionary Muslim figures saying comically absurd statements and making silly claims on anything from Western media to one another. As a result, art which references MEMRI TV online typically skews towards referencing such scenarios, whether specifically or generally.
