About Hostile Architecture

Hostile architecture is an urban-design approach that deliberately shapes public spaces to discourage certain behaviors — most often to prevent people from loitering, sleeping, or staying in an area — by adding physical features that make those activities uncomfortable or impossible.

Common examples are anti-homeless benches and anti-homeless spikes.
