A light novel series by Kouji Ouji, which Free! was based on, published in two volumes in 2013 and 2014.
A film adaptation, High☆Speed!: Free! Starting Days was shown in Japanese theaters in December 2015. The characters' stories were continued in the third Free! season, Dive to the Future.
