The Experimental Model 1 Submachine gun is an 8mm submachine gun designed by Kijiro Nambu. Its most unusual feature is that its pistol grip doubles as the magazine well but due to the magazine's curvature, the grip is angled towards the muzzle in an awkward way. Design work was carried on with the The Experimental Model 2 Submachine gun, which used a more conventional layout.
