A tall, pedestal-like plate used for displaying Cakes, especially in a Bakery's Storefront or for Weddings. Some cake stands have a Glass Dome for protecting the cake.
Not to be confused with a Tiered Tray; a cake stand only has one level, while a tiered tray has multiple levels.
