A Lily-like Flower in the Amaryllidaceae family. It can be distinguished from lilies by its umbrella-shaped inflorescence, bulkier petals, upturned stamens, and upright, strap-shaped leaves that emerge from the underground bulb.
The name Amaryllis is mainly used for Hippeastrum flowers.
